Happy 4th of July (USA Independence day)

Happy 4th everyone! So today in my town they have a little parade to celebrate Independence day and it was the 2nd time romeo attended but the first that he actually understood what was going on. And he was so excited to see everyone on the sides of the street waiting for the "weeeuu weeeeuuus" lol (that what he calls emergency vehicle sirens) they also throw candy and squit us with water guns. I got soaked but romeo was so happy to get splashed. I hope you have a happy 4th and be safe :)

Sunshine,Rain and Jumping in the puddles

Romeo had the time of his life when i told him to go outside and meet the rain. i know when i was a kid all i wanted to do was splash in puddles but i wasn't allowed to. So i have decided that i was gonna be a fun mom and let my son play in the puddles after it stopped raining. Boy did he have fun! I hope he appreciates the things i do for him when he's older. I love this kid so muchhhhh!

yes he sat in the puddle lol he fell down and kept saying uh ohhhh haha

18 months old!!! 6/21/2013

I can't believe my baby isn't a baby anymore... he is a full blown toddler, running around like he's the boss of this place... and he kind of is. but it's ok because i love him and he deserves everything and much more! This is my little angel. I did this little home Photo shoot with my phone i love each and everyone of the pictures, they are adorable. (He thinks he can control our dog lol )

My make up of the day

Today was a pretty good day i unexpectedly ended up watching Despicable Me 2 in 3D with my sister in law a day before the actual day it was suppose to come out. And the weather was amazing! i know for July it should be pretty hot but Chicago weather is crazy, so we had an i think 70's day, which is my favorite! I don't have to worry about my make up melting off and i can wear a light sweater and jeans. This is what my make up looks like. Some of the products used are not shown because my son started getting fussy so i hurried with  the last part of my make up. =) I hope you guys like the look and the tips.

Everyone should start by applying a good moisturizer and lip balm so your make up application is flawless and smooth. and it also prevents your makeup getting in your pores as much since you have a barrier between your foundation and your skin.
This is the concealer i am using at the moment and i am loving it! so easy and smooth to apply. i like that its a thinner consistency that others and you can really work and build the coverage. i use this mainly to conceal dark circles and red spots around my nose. I pat it in with my fingers so it warms the concealer and blends seamlessly. (i use a brightening one later

Next i do my brows. I do them before my foundation because no matter how long I've been doing my brows i know i'll mess them up and i'll need to dab product away with my finger and i don't want to mess up my foundation. i also used a spool brush to comb out and blend the brow pencil. i also used a lighter shade by Jordana (not pictured)

Now foundation. i used my flat top brush from Sigma. I use very little product since it is a thick cream foundation and i don't want it to get stuck in my brush. you have to be very careful with products like this  because when you apply a dab it feels super smooth but you can also make the mistake of applying way too much and the result of trying to blend away excess product is not cute. I use a very small amount dab it everywhere i can with the brush then blend using a swirl motion all over my face, neck, and ears. if i need more then i make sure to add small amount to areas that need it. but if you do need more coverage in some areas you can just go back with a concealer and that should do the trick.

For my eyes i like to do simple looks for summer. i used my neutral pallet from BH cosmetics it's super affordable and the colors are great. #1 is on my lid. #2 is in my outer 1/3 and outer crease. #3 is a matte white and i used it as a highlight/ blending color so the colors wouldn't looks too harsh. and then i just took the black shadow and put it as if it was liquid liner with an angled brush really close to the lash line, so my eyes would stay soft, and i do have a white pencil in the waterline. it helps open and brighten your eyes.

the top is one coat of mascara i used the new L'Oreal telescopic shocking. the non waterproof and honestly i hated it at first then i put it away for like a week and a 1/2 . and i said i cant just throw it out, so i gave it another chance and it was amazing so i always say with mascaras sometimes they need to dry out a bit to work and the camera does it no justice! i did one coat for a subtle look, but you can layer this quite a bit before it gets clumpy and it'll look like you have false lashes on. 2-3 coats looks awesome!  On the bottom i added some bronzer with Physicians formula bronze booster in light to med, and a bit of a contour with the balm's bahama mama.

Next lips! Revlon's Pink Pout enough said lol
Then i brighten my under eyes in a triangle motion, down the bridge of my nose, chin, cupid's bow, and forehead with Maybelline's dark spot eraser/concealer in light. then blend with your fingers,....and...

Tadddaaaa your done and gorgeous! Now i need to figure out what to do with my super short hair,,,,a baby pony tail it is. lol

Where the heck did the time go???

Honestly i don't know why it's been so long since i updated my blog. It's not like it take so much to write something and add some cute pictures... come on Mayra get with it lol. The last time i posted something was when we moved from my parents and its almost been a year since then. We are completely settled in so there is no reason why i should have consistent if not daily posts. And my son is so big now! Honestly he is the only thing that keeps me busy.  So please let me know in the comments what you would like me to post, i can even do videos on YouTube. Unedited so they'll be up faster. :) they won't be the best quality be my phone has a pretty good camera so we'll see. So for now I'll show you some cute pictures of my son at the beach and later today I'll do a make up of the day post. :)

Moving :)

Finally after 13 months of being married and in my parents house we moved out. And it may not be the fanciest or biggest place in the world but hey I love it! Being on my own and with my little family is what matters the most. We can finally do as we please without thinking that we may be bothering my parents.( such as making smoothies at 12am) lol. Hopefully someday we can buy our own dream home, but for now I'm so happy with living where I'm at now :)

2nd and 3rd week update on Mederma.

I missed the last update so i decided to put 2 in one. and the question people are probably wondering is if i notice a diffenence so far? and the answer is YES!
In the pictures you may or may not be able to notice but the strech marks have defenitly gone lighter than they were. now i don't know if it's the cream or the nature of the stretch marks. but they are smoother and in person they don't look as bad. The flash of the camera may be exageratting the color but what can i do i have a cheap o' camera lol =). i did take some pictures of week 3 with no flash do i'll let you guys know which ones. =)

these are week 2 pictures (all have flash) February 21 2012.
